There is so much data and content – the digital has created more than we know what to do with, that we have trouble filtering and acquiring only those required. The authenticity of data and content is hard to verify while untapped data is becoming a huge concern.

The validation of current data is important as it could be troublesome to manage business information going forward. Data verification is an essential part of all trends mentioned.


Today’s business structure can be broadly classified under centralised and decentralised.

In a centralised structure, decisions are usually taken by higher authorities who have control over the organisation such as CEO, CTO, CIO etc. While this structure is typically utilised by organisations with less than 200 employees, a decentralised system means that every employee in the organisation has a voice in different processes.

Rapid digital transformation and growth means organisations have to innovate at an equally fast, or faster rate. How can organisations achieve this? Decentralisation. This structure boosts employee engagement as it instils a sense of ownership and facilitates competitive advantage by leverage the power of innovation.


According to Gartner analysts Matt Cain and Chris Howard, digital dexterity is a business strategy designed to encourage workforce agility and engagement by promoting employee autonomy and building a more consumerised work environment.

Digital dexterity aims to create flexible and agile workplace environment, made of a workforce that is invested in the success of the organisation.

Achieving digital dexterity means to collaborate and coordinate, be flexible, and to make data driven decisions.


While technology advancements have potential to exceed expectations and improve efficiency, 2019 is not without trials or tribulations.
